Today my tables for the Swedish Pinball Championship 2018 qualifications has been drawn.
My first feeling is CRAP! Not a single game I wanted. I had one game I absolutely didn’t want to qualify on and that were Game of Thrones. Of course I got it…!
My tables for Main Tournament Qualify
- Scared Stiff
- Guardians of the Galaxy
- Game of Thrones
- World Cup Soccer
- Johnny Mnemonic
I did a comparison on the scores 2016 and 2017 and it differs more than I thought it would, scores seems higher 2016 (not for GoT, I guess people learned how to play it AND maybe another code were used as well).
My guess is that machines 2017 were tweaked harder, 2018 doesn’t seem to be any different when reading machine notes from administration.
Scared Stiff I have played a lot in Pinball Arcade so I know the rules and everything but as usual it isn’t the same as playing a real pinball. I should be able to get some good points here.
Guardians of the Galaxy is a game that looks fun and nice but it’s also completely new to me. I have been trying to prepare with some PAPA tutorial videos when kids are sleeping but I ain’t sure they are based on correct code.
Will be fun but I should end in the bottom…
Game of Thrones, what a complete joke. I got no clue what to do. It’s also some specific house rules used in the competition that makes it harder to read up on. I have decided to not read anything on this game and just take a beer or two after playing it.
World Cup Soccer is a game I also know the rules for because of Pinball Arcade. But doing good scores on a machine I played once or twice in the 90’s wont be easy.
Johnny Mnemonic is a movie I remember, always something. I also remember playing it in Degerfors Bowling alley a few times in the 90’s, but that’s all. It’s the last game to play for the evening and to have an excuse to take an extra beer I will just play this and follow the lit arrows on the play field. 🙂
I will also play in the Classic Tournament. They all play like ping pong so I will not do any analyse. 😉
- Strikes N Spares
- Eight Ball
- Evel Knievel
